Council chair hosts special reception to mark 80th anniversary of Clanabogan YFC

Fermanagh and Omagh District Council recently hosted members of Clanabogan Young Farmers’ Club to mark their 80th anniversary
THE chairperson of Fermanagh and Omagh District Council, Councillor Debbie Coyle recently hosted members of Clanabogan Young Farmers’ Club to mark their 80th anniversary.
Speaking at the event, Cllr Coyle said: “It is a pleasure welcome you here to The Grange, Omagh, to celebrate the 80th anniversary of Clanabogan Young Farmers’ Club. On behalf of Fermanagh and Omagh District Council, I would like to congratulate the club, its members past and present, and all those who have contributed to reaching this remarkable milestone.
“Eighty years is a significant achievement for any organisation. Since its formation in 1946, Clanabogan Young Farmers Club has provided generations of young people with opportunities to learn new skills, develop confidence, make lasting friendships and play an active role within their local community.
“While farming remains at the heart of the club, its contribution extends far beyond agriculture. Over the decades, members have represented the club with distinction in competitions, embraced new challenges, supported charitable causes and helped strengthen the community spirit that is so important to rural life.
“What is particularly impressive is that, 80 years on, the club continues to thrive. The growth in membership and the enthusiasm of today's members are a testament to the strong foundations laid by those who established the club all those years ago, and by the many volunteers, leaders and committee members who have helped guide it through the decades.
“This evening is an opportunity to recognise and thank everyone who has played a part in the club's success. Whether as a member, leader, supporter, parent or volunteer, your commitment has helped ensure that Clanabogan Young Farmers Club remains a vibrant and valued part of the local community.
“It is also fitting that, as the club celebrates this milestone anniversary, it is supporting Alzheimer's Society, a cause that has a personal connection for many members and their families. Through its fundraising efforts, the club is once again demonstrating the values of community, friendship and support that have been at the heart of its work for 80 years.
“We celebrate not only the club's rich history, but also its bright future. I have no doubt that Clanabogan Young Farmers Club will continue to inspire and support young people for many years to come.
“Congratulations on this significant achievement, and may the next chapter be every bit as successful as the last 80 years.”
