Woodvale received awards for its long-standing maintenance partnership with the Education Authority and the successful delivery of a construction project for Mallon Foods in Co. Monaghan.

The company's Facilities Management Division secured the Excellence in Asset Management award for its work maintaining schools and educational buildings across Tyrone and Fermanagh.

Under the management of Paul Corr, the team provides planned, reactive and emergency maintenance across 255 educational properties, with emergency support to a further 210 properties.

Their work ranges from everyday repairs and refurbishment projects to urgent call- outs when buildings are damaged or essential services fail. Much of this takes place in occupied schools, where keeping disruption to pupils and staff to a minimum is a priority.

Woodvale has worked alongside the Education Authority for more than 14 years, with the judges particularly recognising the team's response during Storm Éowyn, use of digital reporting and consistent performance.

The company's construction team also celebrated success, winning GB and RoI Construction Project below £10m for its work at Mallon Foods.

Established in 1942, Mallon Foods is a family-owned Monaghan business best known for its sausage products.

Overseen by contracts manager, Brendan Conway and site manager, Adrian Farry, the Woodvale team delivered new administration and staff welfare facilities alongside the redevelopment of existing production areas.

One of the biggest challenges was completing the works while the factory remained operational. This required close cooperation with Mallon Foods and the subcontractors to ensure production could continue safely throughout construction.

Desmond Scott, chairman of Woodvale Construction, commented: “These awards are a great recognition of the work our teams carry out every day. Whether it's responding to an emergency at a school or delivering a construction project in a working factory, it takes good people, careful planning and strong relationships with our clients.

“I would like to congratulate everyone involved and thank our clients and supply chain partners for their continued support.”

With over 45 years in business, Woodvale Construction continues to deliver construction, refurbishment and facilities management services across Norther Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.
