The Investing in Community Volunteers Programme provides a range of training and development opportunities for volunteers, committee members and staff working across the community and voluntary sector in Fermanagh and Omagh.
The programme is one of 13 initiatives within Fermanagh and Omagh District Council's PEACEPLUS Local Action Plan. It is supported by PEACEPLUS and managed by the Special EU Programmes Body (SEUPB).
Meanwhile, local community organisations are also being invited to share details of their Christmas and winter volunteering opportunities to help encourage greater participation and support across Omagh.
Organisations with seasonal volunteering roles they would like to promote in an upcoming newsletter are encouraged to contact Martin at Omagh Volunteer Centre by emailing [email protected] or calling 028 8224 0772.
The initiative offers an opportunity for local groups to highlight their work, attract new volunteers and help ensure that community activities and support services continue to thrive throughout the festive season and winter months.
