One of the biggest marathons on the athletics calendar - and one of the Abbott Majors - NYC welcomes some 60,000 runners to its streets every year to tackle the 42.2km.
Starting at Fort Wadsworth from the Verrazzano-Narrows Bridge in Staten Island, the pair headed out for the point-to-point run that would take them through all five boroughs of New York.
This included crossing five bridges to the iconic spectator-filled areas of Manhattan, Queens, Brooklyn, and The Bronx.
The final stretch of the marathon would take the competitors to Central Park where the finish line awaited them.
The pair made it to the finish line in a time of 04.18.53.
Many Omagh Triathlon Club members brought their 2026 racing season to an end at the Dublin Marathon.
A large group from Omagh were representing in capital, and the yellow weather warnings didn’t scare them as they lined up on the start line at Leeson Street Lower.
The first few mile went by quick as the runners headed by Stoneybatter towards Phoenix Park where they would run past Dublin Zoo and enjoy the scenes of the public Urban Park.

The hundreds of spectators would cheer them on as they left and re-entered the park, before crossing the 10-mile mark at the Chapelizod Bridge.
They would reach halfway at Dolphin’s Barn before passing Brickfield’;s Park and cutting through Bushy Park.
As the miles ticked away, the competitors just had to pass the University College Dublin before making their way through the thousands of cheering fans to Northumberland Road where the purple carpet and the finish line awaited.
