Charity and classic car run raises £1,240 for Omagh palliative care

£1,240 donated to Omagh’s Palliative Care Ward
A GENEROUS donation of £1,240 has been made to the Palliative Care Ward at Omagh Hospital and Primary Care Complex following a charity and classic car run organised in memory of a much-loved mother.
Joy and Trevor Stewart, from Newmills, Dungannon, presented the cheque to Sister Thelma Graham on behalf of the ward, as a heartfelt gesture of appreciation for the care and treatment Trevor’s mother, Eileen, received before her death in November 2017.
The fundraising event brought together a love of classic cars and a desire to give something back to the team who had cared for Eileen and supported her family during a difficult time.
The donation will help recognise the important work carried out by the Palliative Care Ward, where staff provide compassionate care and support to patients and their loved ones.
For Joy and Trevor, the fundraising effort was a meaningful way to honour Eileen’s memory while expressing their gratitude for the kindness and professionalism shown to her.
The Western Health and Social Care Trust gratefully acknowledged the generous donation, which will support the ward and its ongoing work caring for patients and families.
