The club held its annual presentation night at the Derg Arms, Castlederg, on October 23, where the proceeds from three major events held throughout 2026 were distributed to causes making a real difference to people's lives.

The fundraising programme began in April with the club's popular vintage tractor run, which attracted approximately 90 tractors for a 13-mile journey through the scenic countryside.

The event raised £4,400 for Young Lives Versus Cancer, with the donation accepted by Ben Green on behalf of the charity.

In June, the club's annual Vintage Rally once again proved a tremendous success, continuing to grow in popularity year after year. The event raised an outstanding £5,100 for Parkinson's UK, with Kathleen Lynch accepting the proceeds.

The fundraising calendar concluded in September with the Classic Car Run, which generated a further £1,150 for Marie Curie. The donation was accepted by Marie McMenamin on behalf of the charity.

The combined total of £10,650 represents a fantastic achievement for the club and reflects the tremendous support received from participants, visitors, sponsors and the wider community throughout the year.

Derg Valley Vintage Club expressed its sincere thanks to everyone who supported the events and helped make the fundraising success possible.

The club is already looking ahead to 2027, when it has special celebrations planned to mark a significant milestone – the 40th anniversary of its formation.

With four decades of history behind it, the club will have plenty to celebrate, and its latest fundraising achievement provides another wonderful example of how its passion for vintage vehicles continues to benefit the wider community.
